this girl.

We read a poem/song yesterday that says, "Make new friends, but keep the old. One is silver and the other gold." I have been blessed with many great friends but let me introduce you to a new and golden one. Meet CARRIE. I love her.

When I look back on the first few days/weeks/months of teaching 1st grade, I realize I owe my survival to Taylor (of course) and this girl. I'll never forget the 3rd day of school when I was nearly in tears and Carrie asked me, "How can I help you?" Story of our friendship from that day on. We work so well together and feed off one another. We spend WAY too much time in the work room together and I spend WAY too much time interrupting her class every day borrowing things or asking questions. We laugh as much as we plan but let me tell you, we are productive! She is an incredible teacher, mom, and friend. It's going to be a sad day when I have to pack up at Mountain Trails, say goodbye to my firsties, and say goodbye to this girl. Anyway, enough babbling about my golden friend. I just feel so blessed to have her in my life.
