a new toy.

We have been very spoiled here in Iowa. Here's the run down on our perfect little Saturday:
OUT with the OLD:

and IN with the NEW:

Taylor's mom called us Saturday to ask if we wanted to go on a bike ride. Of course we did! BUT then she told Tay, "Oh, but don't bring your bike..." Taylor has been riding around for like 6 years on a "twenty thirty eight." AKA he bought it for $20.38 at Goodwill. The brakes don't really work and it weighs 100 pounds so his mom insisted on buying him a new bike for his early birthday present. 5 hours later we were on our scheduled bike ride and Taylor was sporting his new present.

Then we went on a picnic @ this pretty place! We ate great food, hung out with cute kids, and played some catch.




I love Saturdays. Only a few more weeks of pretty weather. Everyone here keeps telling me how depressing and long and dreadful the winters are.... pray for me.
