here and there.

I have been adding things here and there to our little home. I get bored @ night when Taylor studies endlessly so it's nice to keep me occupied. I am getting fearful that I'm going to run out of wall space etc. and have nothing left to decorate... I guess I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.
I made these little cuties for our bathroom. I love the colors together, they are so fun.

It matches with our bedroom which I have yet to show you because I am working on a project to complete it, I think :). Stay tuned. One of these phrases you may recognize from the one and only James Taylor (it's one of our songs) and the other is a part of a quote Taylor loves and carries around with him. They are great things to read and be reminded of every day when we get ready!
I bought these frames @ Michaels for $6 each and just painted the mat with the extra paint from our bed. I made the word art and printed them @ Alphagraphics which is conveniently like 2 minutes from my house!

So we really needed some coasters for our coffee table. I didn't grow up using coasters, but then, we didn't really have coffee tables. There were too many of us and we needed the space! I have a love/hate relationship with ours but that's another issue entirely. Back to the point, we needed coasters and I had this brilliant idea to make them. They turned out... okay. We'll see how they hold up haha. I bought cork board squares at Hobby Lobby along with some cute paper and Mod Podge. I traced circles, cut them out, and Mod Podged the paper to the cork board.... simple. They definitely look as homemade as they are but whatever. It was fun!

I switched up my new table a bit. SO exciting.

First of all, this wreath was super fun and cheap to make. There are tutorials out there but I kind of combined a bunch and made this. The wreath I thrifted for 99 cents and then wrapped it in strips of extra fabric I used for my curtains. The frame I also thrifted and painted, the fabric roses were also made with leftover curatin fabric.
I had this Z in my classroom last year but it was purple. I love it and since I have no classroom to stick it in now, I painted it too:). I am dreaming up some seasonal decorations to add. For now it's just this 99 cent 8*10 frame I spray painted and the lovely subway art I got... I don't remember where. Sorry! (also Taylor and I have consumed nearly all of the candy corn... bad idea.)
And FINALLY, I am getting pretty good and having a good meal on the table every night. Here's what we had tonight, I just thought it looked pretty:)

Taylor told me I steam broccoli perfectly. What an accomplishment right? So proud.

Anyway, here's to super fun projects to keep me busy! cHEeRs!

  2. It all looks darling! It's funny, I printed the "How sweet it is..." quote too and have it hanging by mine and Lance's bed :) Love that! And good for you for making dinner. It's hard to get into that routine so way to go!
