green and gold.

St. Patrick's Day may be my favorite holiday. Ok so I'm obsessed (Tay thinks I overuse that word) with all things GREEN and GOLD. But really, I am. I think that is why I really just LOVE St. Patrick's Day. I get to make things green and gold, and wear things green and gold, and I think as a teacher of young children, holidays become twice as fun. My kids believe ANYTHING I say about goofy holidays. Today, for example, they brought in their "Leprechaun Traps" in an attempt to catch a leprechaun. You should have heard them talking about it and explaining all the tricky things the leprechauns have been doing around their houses. They wrote me some darling stories about what they would do IF they caught a leprechaun, including sliding down rainbows. Side note: that was MY idea. I also LOVE rainbows and I often picture what it would be like to be a CareBear, living in the clouds sliding down rainbows. Can we say awesome? Anyway, here are a few of my cuties traps. I'll take photo's tomorrow of what it looked like "AFTER" the leprechaun came to visit....

Also, here's what I did to cheer up my hubby after a few stressful days.

He made fun of the "leprechaun tracks" that I was cutting out for my classroom that were green instead of black. Who leaves green footprints? Leprechauns, of course! So I left him some of his own leprechaun tracks leading up to this dorky thing I made him. BUT, it made his day so I was very happy. I gave him a bunch of reasons why I am "LUCKY" to have him. He is the best!
