10 thoughts.

1. I love fall. The weather here has changed dramatically over the weekend. On Thursday school was let out early because it was "too hot." THEN, you read about my torrential rain experience, and today, it was a perfect 60 degrees with the wind blowing. I actually turned on the heater in my car and loved it.

2. Holidays are great. I LOVED not having to work today and that my hubby didn't have to go to school. It was so great to spend time with him, we have been very busy.

3. I am spoiled. (see #4)

4. My mother-in-law ROCKS. We spent the night at my in-laws in Cedar Rapids Sunday night. Then Monday went something like this:
Breakfast @ Village Inn
Movie: The Help (obsessed)
Pedicure
Shopping
Dinner
Crafting
It was the perfect holiday thanks to my generous and sweet friend and mother #2. I love spending time with her.

5. Making curtains takes longer than you think. I just finished a simple valence last week and it was time consuming. I guess since it was my first one it was a learning process and I'm sure I'll be quicker next time... if there ever is one.

6. Friends are great. We met the perfect couple out here. Conversation between Taylor and me months ago:
me: "Wouldn't it be great if we met a couple in Iowa who were starting dental school and you liked him and I liked her? It would be perfect if they didn't have kids either, and like... you 2 could study together and us 2 could... cook... and craft... and watch shows?"
Taylor: "Yeah that would be awesome. Then I could have a study partner and you could have someone to entertain you."

Meet Ryan and Melissa. He and Tay started school together, they don't have kids, she works full time, she cooks, AND she likes projects! We shop for fabric together. give each other project ideas. blog stalk. watch design star. watch football. and much more. WHILE.... Ryan and Taylor study together nearly every night. Who knew our friendship dreams could come true?

7. My gold obsession is still going strong. Got my toes painted GOLD today. I hope it never dies.

8. I am already wondering if we are going to buy a Christmas tree this year. A little premature? I think so.

9. I miss my nieces and nephews. a.l.o.t. I don't want them to grow up without me.

10. (for some reason this got deleted so I am putting it back on here) Only 22 days till NYC and I can't wait!! I really need some sister time and some mommy time.
