Preface: Sarah, don't read this.



So let me tell you a story. When Taylor and I got engaged, he put a count down thing in his phone. In the corner of his main page it would say the number of days till our wedding. Well, when we got married, it started counting up. Taylor has been paying close attention to that number.

I got home from my little gal trip on Sunday and told Taylor I needed to work on the meal plan for the week (I usually do it on Sunday). He told me, "Don't plan for Monday, I'm cooking!" So I'm thinking he's making Kraft Mac&Cheese because he has been trying to convince me to use that as a "meal" for weeks and I won't. To my surprise, he came home from school, changed out of the lovely blue scrubs that are his wardrobe, and took me to dinner.

After we sat down and ordered, he pulled out our little "book." We write notes to each other in one journal on special occasions or just for the heck of it. (PS, you should do this!) I opened to the marked page and read, "Dearest Abbey, Happy 500th Day of Marriage!" and then continued on with the sweetest note you've ever read. I had no idea, but was SO happy to celebrate the occasion and so appreciative of my thoughtful hubby. So, happy 500 days of my marriage! Cheers.
