Taylor ran for class office back in September and won. He is the Vice President of his dental class and came up with a ton of activities to plan for the year. Well, the first idea became reality on Saturday and it was a huge success! The "Scrub Bowl" as he officially named it, has been in the works for months now. He got together with the president of the first year medical class at the University and challenged the "M1" students to compete against the "D1" students in a flag football game. He arranged the whole thing; ordered flags, got the field, and even ordered trophies.
The forecast for Saturday was cold and rainy so we had both been a little nervous about how it would turn out and if people would really come. It rained all through the night prior to the game so the field was very muddy, which made for a fun and dirty game. It was cold, but bearable, and didn't rain until after both the girls and guys games were over. So lucky. Lots of people showed up from both classes and both games were a total success. Taylor is hoping to keep the tradition alive over the next 4 years. Both the girls and guys teams from the dental school WON, so that was icing on the cake. Here are a few pictures captured of the event.
PS: green scrubs=med student. blue scrubs=dental student :)
love your hat!
