big news.

I GOT A JOB! I am so lucky! I submitted an application to Alpine School District last Friday and got a call for an interview on Monday. Tuesday I had an interview. I showed up and was surprised and even more intimidated to find out it was a group interview... I had been telling myself since the minute I got called that this would be good practice to help me decrease the stress. The group interview was actually kind of fun and enlightening. I felt pretty good about it but left thinking there was no way I would get hired. 10 minutes after I left the school, the principal called to ask if I was seriously interested in the position. It is a brand new school that is VERY far away and he asked if I am really willing to drive the distance. I said yes to which he replied, "Well I just have to make a few phone calls..." and then he left me hanging. Two days later, after much anticipation and anxiety, I got a call and was offered a first grade position at Mountain Trails Elementary School in Eagle Mountain. I am VERY excited! It is far away but it will be a great experience to open a new school and, let's face it, it's a job! From what I understand I get to help this summer with developing the school mission statement and setting goals etc. Good thing I don't have anything else to do this summer but design my curriculum and classroom! My life is seriously falling into place and I feel so grateful!

Mountain Trails Elementary School is supposed to be finished on July 1st! Can't wait.
